The Calm Farm is an off-grid creative space in North Yorkshire, UK.
We provide creative residencies for writers, musicians, theatre companies, and visual artists.
Surrounded by 150 acres of farmland, the house is a stunning example of 1960s architecture. Clean lines, geometric shapes and spacious corridors are key elements of its brutalist design
Create, stay, switch off
The house was completed in 1966. Just in time for the World Cup Final.
There are 6 bedrooms plus a large kitchen area and living space. There is a log burner in the large garden area.
Downstairs, there are three workspaces set for flexible use.
It is an ideal getaway for making art.
